The Midnight Field
The Midnight Field

I made this for a competition of a good friend of mine, Dana
I didn't really have any idea as to what to do with the background stock so I was just randomly browsing DA and saw the Scarecrow and thought I should use it. So I set out on finding different things to add. I didn't want to make the wallpaper too busy. I added some shadows , added some lighting from the moon, and changed the Hue a little. I also added the Overlay blending mode to make the colours "pop" a bit more.

Elements used:
Background (I'll fill in the link soon)
Bones
Scarecrow
Crow
Fireflys
Mountains
Moon Brushes

The wallpaper is 2048x1536

This wallpaper I made for ShadowGirl by request.
Surprisingly there weren't very many images of Anise that I found usable. But I found this one and cleaned her up a bit.

I must've changed the background about three times. The first didn't look right, the second had some other problem, bla bla bla. Until I saw this one and I thought I'd give it a go and it seemed to work the best so I kept it. Trying to get the two, Anise & Nano-Nano, images to look similar was the main problem. I tried a lot of different things. I eventually was thinking of making the whole thing black & white. But I think it looks ok now.

The reason I added a window frame is because of Anise. I thought she looked weird standing in a field just looking at you. So I thought maybe I'd just get a window and make it look like you're looking through the window. I looked at a LOT of different window images on a lot of different sites. Until eventually I found this one.

I thought I'd just make a nice but simple...ish wallpaper. Well that was the idea when I started it.

Here is a collaboration Pikachu wallpaper I started just for fun...until I started to struggle with it. And with a lot help from Angie, it's finally complete. Unfortunately I don't know exactly how long it took to make this. But it was quite a mission.

Since Angie and I have completely different styles, I thought that this wallpaper actually came out quite nicely.

Angie: "I just smudged the grass and painted the sky, then some gradient maps and blending changes and there it is! XD "

Update: I edited the Pixels around Ichigo, and I fixed the blurriness around Ichigo and reduced the colour of the bushes a bit to make it blend in more.
